A : I used to run a workshop here in the Culture Street. When another Hanok property became available, I spent about four months remodeling it before opening. It was during the COVID-19 period that I decided to pursue this seriously. Isn't it ironic? Instead, the industry was growing explosively back then. Seeing that, I thought to myself that I wanted to give it a try. Other people tried to dissuade me, saying this house was far too old, but if I like something, I just go for it. The exterior back then was completely different from how it looks now. I tore everything down and remodeled it to create a brand-new space.

A: I love Namo: On when it rains. From the kitchen where we are doing this interview, you can see the entire landscaping of the courtyard. The props and design elements inside the kitchen were also carefully decorated to harmonize with each other. That's why if you look outside while having breakfast here, it feels wonderful even on days when it doesn’t rain. I really tried to maximize the unique charm and atmosphere of a Hanok within the accommodation. Once the sun goes down and the lights turn on, many guests enjoy taking photos here before they leave.

A : Our guests leave so many wonderful stories in the guestbook. Among them, someone actually took a pregnancy test during their stay and left a note saying they were heading home after confirming a positive result, thanks to the good energy of this place. They even mentioned they would love to return with their baby next time. I currently run a workshop in the Culture Street, but lately, I find myself feeling even more attached to this accommodation than the workshop, making me want to pour my heart into it. Since Suncheon has plenty of great places for communication, anyone who wants to fully experience the romantic atmosphere of a Hanok, the swimming pool, and a barbecue with their loved ones will be highly satisfied.

A : I highly recommend taking a walk around Okcheon Stream before returning to the accommodation. Strolling along Okcheon at night is truly beautiful with the glowing streetlights, the crisp night air, and the wide-open scenery. Since Okcheon is very close by, it makes for a perfect walking trail even for guests traveling on foot. I also occasionally recommend events held at Culture Street. Guests are often curious about these local happenings, especially on spring or autumn days, or during summer nights when events are frequently hosted.

A : I believe that everything works out better when we do it together—what people call creating "synergy." Since our accommodation is close to the neighborhood, it offers great accessibility, and guests often mention they experience no major inconveniences during their stay. I truly believe in the power of words. I joined this village-stay initiative with a positive mindset, wanting to enjoy a new challenge. That's also why I want to introduce pottery experiences here. If possible, I’d love to run collaborative programs with local shops. I am grateful to learn how to coexist together here in Culture Street, and I want to share that good energy with all of our guests.
